·What is BMS

Battery Management System, it is Battery Monitoring, keeping a check on the key operational parameters during charging and discharging such as voltages and currents and the battery internal and ambient temperature. The monitoring circuits would normally provide inputs to protection devices which would generate alarms or disconnect the battery from the load or charger should any of the parameters become out of limits.

Main function of BMS
1. Overcharge Detection Function
2. Overdischarge Detection Function
3. Overcurrent Detection Function
4. Overheat Detection Function
5. Cell Balancing

·Our BMS
BMS (10 cells)

  1. Functions:
Overcharge Detection Function--the negative electrodes of both the charger and the cell is disconnected when the voltage of any cell is over 4.25V±0.025V.
Overcharge Resumption Function—the negative electrodes of both the charger and the cell is reconnected when the voltage of the protected cell is lower than 4.15V±0.025V. The overcharge protection is finished and a normal charge process resumes.
Overdischarge Detection Function-- the negative electrodes of both the charger and the cell is disconnected when the voltage of any cell is lower than 2.70V±0.025V.
Overdischarge Resumption Function—the negative electrodes of both the charger and the cell is reconnected when the voltage of the protected cell is over 3.00V±0.025V. The overdischarge protection is finished and a normal discharge process resumes.
Overcurrent Detection Function---the fuse will be cut out and the discharge circuit will be cut off when the current is over the set value. (also can be modified as current limitation function due to customers’ requirements. )
Overheat Detection Function-performed by PTC; the circuit will be cut off when cells’ temperature is over the set value. (optional)

  2. Features:
Overcharge detection voltage: any cell’s voltage is over 4.25V±0.025V.
Overcharge resumption voltage: the protected cell’s voltage is lower than 4.15V±0.025V.
Overdischarge detection voltage: any cell’s voltage is lower than 2.70V±0.025V.
Overdischarge resumption voltage: the protected cell’s voltage is over 3.00V±0.025V.
Overcurrent detection current: 20A (can be modified to be smaller according to customers’ requirements)
    Overheat temperature: optional
    Consumption Current: =64uA
